Griva is a voice assistant. You tell it what you need and it turns that into a task, a reminder, a message or a booking. To do that it has to hear you, read what you hand it, and remember. This page says what it receives, who helps process it, and how to have it removed. It describes what Griva does today.

What Griva receives
- Your account. Your email address and name, and a password if you sign up with email. If you sign in with Google instead, the name, email address and profile picture Google shares.
- What you say or type to Griva, and the meetings you record with it.
- Photos you hand it. The original is stored as you sent it, including any location it carries. For search, Griva turns a location into the name of the nearest place, on its own server; the coordinates are not written to its database.
- Links you hand it. Griva's server fetches the page so it can read it, so that site sees a request from our server.
- Your Google Calendar, if you connect it. Griva reads your events to know your day, and creates, moves or deletes the events it books for you.
- Your device's time zone, so that "8 tomorrow" means your 8.
- A push token for your device, so Griva can send you notifications.
From these Griva keeps transcripts, what came of them (tasks, reminders, drafts, recaps, bookings), what it remembers about the people and things you mention, and the photos you keep along with what it read from them.
Audio
Griva's servers do not keep recordings. Audio is sent to AssemblyAI to be transcribed. While you record a meeting, its audio is also written to a temporary file on our server for a second pass that tells the speakers apart, and the file is deleted when that pass finishes. What stays is the transcript and what came of it.
On your phone, a short clip you speak to change something Griva already captured may remain in the app's temporary cache until the system clears it.
Who processes it
Griva uses these services to do its work. Each handles your data under its own terms, linked here.
- AssemblyAI turns what you say into text, including telling speakers apart in a meeting.
- Anthropic its Claude models read your transcripts, typed notes, photos and links, along with what Griva remembers, to understand what you asked and to write drafts, recaps and briefs.
- Voyage AI turns text into embeddings, which is how memory and search find things by meaning.
- Google your calendar, when you connect it, and sign-in, if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Resend sends email: the link that confirms your address when you sign up, and messages Griva drafted that you confirmed sending.
- Expo delivers push notifications to your device. A notification's title and text pass through its push service.
- Hetzner hosts Griva's server, database and photo storage, in Helsinki, Finland.
Other people
When you record a meeting, everyone who speaks is transcribed, so the recap reflects what was actually said. Griva's instructions to the model treat what other people say as a record of the meeting, never as instructions: someone asking for something is only a commitment if you agreed to it. People you mention may be remembered by name, so Griva knows who you mean next time.
What Griva doesn't do
Griva shows no ads, does not sell your data, and does not use your content to train models. What the services above may do with the data they process is set by their own terms, linked above; this page does not speak for them.
This website runs no scripts and sets no cookies.
Keeping and deleting
Griva keeps your data until you delete it or ask us to.
- Discarding a photo deletes its stored copies.
- Undoing a booking deletes the event from your calendar.
- Disconnecting Google Calendar deletes the calendar tokens Griva held.
There is no button in the app to delete your account yet. To have your account and its data deleted, email griva@griva.app from the address on your account.
